Dr. Rohit Rana is an Assistant Professor of Entomology in the Department of Entomology at R.K. (P.G.) College, Shamli, affiliated with Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is an agricultural entomologist with academic qualifications including B.Sc. (Agriculture) Hons., M.Sc. (Agriculture) and Ph.D. in Entomology. He has also qualified the ICAR-ASRB National Eligibility Test (NET).

With more than eight years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Rana has been actively involved in undergraduate agricultural education, research, academic administration, student mentoring and extension-oriented activities. His principal area of specialization is Entomology and Crop Protection, with particular emphasis on insect pest management, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), biopesticides, biological control, sustainable agriculture and environmentally compatible approaches to crop protection.
